Uganda

Uganda, located in east-central Africa, is an economy relying on rain-fed agriculture. Uganda’s economy has been growing at a slower pace the recent years due to adverse weather, unrest in South Sudan, and credit constraints on the private sector. However, Uganda experienced growth in 2017 driven by growth in ICT services and favourable weather conditions. World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business 2017 report ranks Uganda 122 out of 190 countries and ups 7 places from 2016.
