Growth for Business and Development

Growth for Business and Development

06.09.2017 from 12:00 to 16:00

The EU is Africa’s main foreign investor and principle trading partner and the ambition is to further enhance cooperation. In November the EU-Africa Summit will focus on stronger public private partnerships within trade and investment. The question is how the EU and Africa can speed up integration in trade and business and at the same time contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals? And how is Denmark and key Danish companies actively pursuing this agenda?

We will engage the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation, the European Commission, the Danish Growth Counsellors in Kenya and Ghana and the Ambassador of Uganda to Denmark on how to enable more trade with Africa in order to boost growth, business and development. A.P. Moller - Maersk, Arla and Aller Aqua will showcase how they cooperate and trade with African countries.

The "Unlocking growth for business and development" conference is part of Africa Week in cooperation with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the African Embassies in Denmark and the Confederation of Danish Industry. The Africa Week will take place during the first week of September 2017.
